Business IT in Mt Roskill
Business in Mt Roskill centres on Dominion Road, Mt Albert Road and Stoddard Road, with a spread of cafes, grocers, restaurants, medical and dental practices, tutoring centres, trade suppliers and small manufacturers. Industrial streets towards Hillsborough hold workshops and storage. Typical IT jobs include setting up networks for new premises, cabling an office, installing CCTV, point of sale support, backups for practice or accounting files, and setting up shared printers. Tutoring and education centres also ask for classroom screens, strong Wi-Fi for many devices and basic content filtering.
Tech help at home in Mt Roskill
Housing here is mostly ex-state homes, bungalows and brick-and-tile houses from the mid-century, along with plenty of townhouses and units built on subdivided sections. Many are multigenerational or shared, so several people use the internet at once. Older houses give weak Wi-Fi at the back, and townhouses often have a single data point in an awkward place. Common jobs include adding access points, cabling a study, setting up a smart TV or sound bar, fixing laptops, and helping family members with scams and viruses.

What a visit looks like
When you book a job in Mt Roskill, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.
On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.
When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.
Pricing
Each onsite job is priced before work starts. The price depends on what's involved - the size of the site, the equipment, and whether parts are needed - so the quickest way to a number is to tell us about the job on the booking form.
There is no contract and no monthly fee. You book the job you need and pay for that job.
