Repeated jams have a cause, and we find it rather than just pulling out the sheet. We open the paper path and look for torn scraps, sticky labels, staples or a broken separation pad. Pickup rollers that have gone glazed and smooth stop gripping the paper, and a worn tray pad lets several sheets feed at once. On duplex printers the reverse path and the rear door sensors are checked as well.

Can label sheets cause jams?
Yes. Labels that peel inside the printer stick to rollers and the fuser. Use the bypass tray, the printer's label setting and labels rated for laser or inkjet as appropriate.
