Microsoft 365 Setup & Migration

SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup, on site

Our emails keep landing in customers' junk folders.

Our emails keep landing in customers' junk folders.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC tell receiving mail servers which services are allowed to send email as your domain and how to treat messages that fail. Without them, invoices, quotes and replies are more likely to land in junk, and it is easier for someone to send fake email that appears to come from you. Getting the records wrong can also block your own mail.

What the technician does

  1. Check current DNS records and every service that sends as your domain
  2. Set SPF, enable DKIM and publish a DMARC policy
  3. Monitor reports and tighten DMARC as mail flow is confirmed

List every system that sends email as your domain - accounting software, websites and newsletters all count.

About SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup

We list every service that sends on your behalf - Microsoft 365, accounting and invoicing software, website forms and marketing platforms - and build an SPF record that covers them. DKIM is enabled in Microsoft 365 and other senders where supported. DMARC starts in reporting mode, then is tightened once reports show legitimate mail passing. You receive a list of every authorised sender for future reference.

What usually causes it

  • Missing or incorrect SPF record
  • DKIM never enabled in Microsoft 365
  • Invoicing or newsletter platforms not authorised
  • Someone spoofing your domain to send fake invoices

What a visit looks like

When you book SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.

On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.

When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.

Pricing

Each SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup job is priced before work starts. The price depends on what's involved - the size of the site, the equipment, and whether parts are needed - so the quickest way to a number is to tell us about the job on the booking form.

There is no contract and no monthly fee. You book the job you need and pay for that job.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup: questions

Will DMARC stop our own emails?

Not if it is set up in stages. Monitoring mode reports problems without blocking anything, so legitimate senders can be fixed before a stricter policy is applied.

Who needs access to our DNS?

Whoever manages your domain - often the registrar or web developer. We need a login or someone who can add records while we are working.

Do you do SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup on site?

Yes. We come to businesses and homes across Auckland and Hamilton and do the work where the equipment is.

How much does SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup cost?

It depends on what's involved. Tell us about the job on the form and we'll confirm the price before any work starts.
