PC & Laptop Rollouts

New staff computer setup, on site

New starters need a laptop ready on their first day.

New starters need a laptop ready on their first day.

A new starter's laptop needs more than unpacking. We set up the device with current Windows or macOS updates, join it to Microsoft 365, Entra ID or the domain, and install the apps the role needs - Office, accounting or practice software, PDF tools and any industry-specific programs. Security settings such as BitLocker or FileVault, antivirus and automatic updates are switched on before it is handed over.

What the technician does

  1. Set up the laptop, email and apps
  2. Connect printers and shared files
  3. Hand it over with a quick walk-through

Send us the start date and the apps they need.

About new staff computer setup

Next we connect shared drives, SharePoint libraries, printers, scanners and email signatures, and transfer any role-specific settings. Multi-factor authentication is set up with the new staff member present where possible. A short walkthrough covers signing in, saving files to the right place, printing and how to get help, so the first day is spent working rather than waiting for access.

What usually causes it

  • New hires waiting days for a working laptop
  • Inconsistent setups between staff
  • Missing apps, printers or shared drives

  • Admin access to Microsoft 365 or your domain
  • A decision on what happens to the old computers

What a visit looks like

When you book new staff computer setup, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.

On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.

When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.

Pricing

Each new staff computer setup job is priced before work starts. The price depends on what's involved - the size of the site, the equipment, and whether parts are needed - so the quickest way to a number is to tell us about the job on the booking form.

There is no contract and no monthly fee. You book the job you need and pay for that job.

Yes. We come to businesses and homes across Auckland and Hamilton and do the work where the equipment is.

How much does new staff computer setup cost?
