IT Equipment Disposal & Data Wiping

Office IT clear-out and recycling, on site

We're moving out and there's a room full of old monitors, PCs, cables and printers to get rid of.

We're moving out and there's a room full of old monitors, PCs, cables and printers to get rid of.

An office clear-out usually turns up more storage than anyone expects: drives in old desktops, USB sticks in drawers, backup drives in the server room and memory cards in old cameras. We sort the equipment with you, set aside anything worth keeping and find every device that might hold data so nothing goes into a recycling bin with files still on it.

What the technician does

  1. Sort equipment into reuse, wipe and recycle piles
  2. Wipe or remove drives from every device that has one
  3. Arrange recycling and give you a full equipment list

Start the clear-out before moving day - it is much easier while the room is still yours.

About office IT clear-out and recycling

Devices with storage are wiped or have their drives removed and destroyed, and the rest - monitors, keyboards, cables and power supplies - is sorted for recycling. We arrange for the equipment to be taken for recycling rather than to landfill and give you a list of every device by type and serial number, with what happened to its storage.

What usually causes it

  • An office relocation or downsizing
  • A refurbishment means the storeroom has to be emptied
  • Years of replaced equipment have piled up
  • A business is closing or merging with another

  • Any device passwords or BIOS locks you know of
  • A decision on which machines will be reused or donated
  • Somewhere to work near the equipment

What a visit looks like

When you book office IT clear-out and recycling, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.

On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.

When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.
