We have a handful of office computers of different ages and no idea which ones are healthy or about to fail.
Small offices tend to collect computers over time - one bought when a new person started, another inherited, one at reception nobody really owns. Without a record, the first sign of trouble is often a machine refusing to start on a busy morning. A whole-office health check gives every computer the same set of tests, so you can compare them fairly and see where the real risks sit across the whole office.
What the technician does
- Check drive health, updates, security and backups on each computer
- Clean and tune each machine with the user's agreement
- Deliver one combined findings list ranked by urgency
A simple list of who uses which computer helps us match findings to people.
About health check for every computer in the office
For each machine we check drive health, operating system support status, updates, security software, backup and cooling, and tune what can be safely tuned with the user's agreement. The result is one combined list, sorted into fine, needs attention and plan to replace, with a short reason for each. That gives you a sensible order for spending, and catches computers that have quietly fallen out of support before they become a security problem for the whole office.
What usually causes it
- Computers bought at different times with no shared record
- Some machines no longer receiving security updates
- Backups that were set up once and never checked
- Planning a sensible budget for replacements
Before we arrive
- The computer's password, and administrator details if they are different
- Details of how you back up, such as an external drive or cloud service
- A note of anything that has felt slow, noisy or unreliable
- Any security software subscriptions you know you are paying for
What a visit looks like
When you book health check for every computer in the office, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.
On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.
When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.

Health check for every computer in the office: questions
Will staff be interrupted while you check their computers?
Each computer needs to be free while it is tested and tuned, so we work around your team. Some offices prefer us to go machine by machine while people take breaks; others book a quieter time so we can work through several at once.
Do you include servers and network equipment?
This check covers desktops and laptops. For servers, firewalls, switches and Wi-Fi we offer a separate network health check, which looks at the shared parts of the network and produces its own documentation.
Do you do health check for every computer in the office on site?
Yes. We come to businesses and homes across Auckland and Hamilton and do the work where the equipment is.
How much does health check for every computer in the office cost?
It depends on what's involved. Tell us about the job on the form and we'll confirm the price before any work starts.
