Boardroom display installation, on site

Our boardroom screen is too small to read from the end of the table and cables run across the floor.

Our boardroom screen is too small to read from the end of the table and cables run across the floor.

A boardroom display should be readable from every seat without people squinting at spreadsheets. We measure viewing distance and look at seating, windows and lighting to recommend a sensible size and mounting height. The wall construction is checked too, because plasterboard, concrete and glass partitions each need a different mounting approach for a large screen. Window glare is checked at different times.

What the technician does

  1. Check viewing distance and the wall construction
  2. Mount the display and run cables in ducting or the wall
  3. Set up wired and wireless presenting and test both

Measure from the furthest seat to the wall - it decides how big the screen needs to be.

About boardroom display installation

Cables are run inside the wall where access allows, or in neat ducting where it does not, so nothing crosses the floor. We set up a table connection point for laptops and a wireless presenting option for guests, then test both with Windows and Mac laptops. If a new power point is needed behind the screen, a registered electrician installs it first.

What usually causes it

  • The old screen is too small for the room
  • Cables across the floor are a trip hazard
  • Presenters need a mix of adaptors for different laptops
  • The boardroom is being refurbished

What a visit looks like

When you book boardroom display installation, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.

On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.

When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.

Pricing

Each boardroom display installation job is priced before work starts. The price depends on what's involved - the size of the site, the equipment, and whether parts are needed - so the quickest way to a number is to tell us about the job on the booking form.

There is no contract and no monthly fee. You book the job you need and pay for that job.

Boardroom display installation: questions

Can you mount a large screen on a glass or partition wall?

Sometimes, with a floor-supported stand or a frame fixed to the structure behind. We check before recommending, and suggest a trolley or stand where the wall cannot take it.

Can guests present without installing anything?

Many wireless presenting systems use a plug-in button, so guests do not need to install software. We test whatever system is chosen with outside laptops.

Do you do boardroom display installation on site?

Yes. We come to businesses and homes across Auckland and Hamilton and do the work where the equipment is.

How much does boardroom display installation cost?

It depends on what's involved. Tell us about the job on the form and we'll confirm the price before any work starts.
