Meeting Rooms & Video Conferencing
Huddle room video bar setup, on site
Our small meeting rooms have no camera or decent sound, so everyone joins calls from their desks.
Our small meeting rooms have no camera or decent sound, so everyone joins calls from their desks.
Small rooms for two to six people rarely need a full room system. A USB video bar combines a wide-angle camera, microphones and speakers in one unit, and when it connects to the screen and a single cable at the table, anyone can plug in a laptop and use whatever meeting platform they need. We size the bar for the room and mount it at the right height. Room lighting is checked for the camera.
What the technician does
- Mount a video bar above or below the screen
- Run one cable to the table for laptops to plug in
- Test it with Teams, Zoom and Google Meet
Label the table cable so people know one plug connects screen, camera and audio.
About huddle room video bar setup
We run the cabling neatly from the screen to the table, set the bar's firmware and camera framing, and test with Windows and Mac laptops on the platforms you use. Where the bar supports remote management, we set that up so firmware updates can be applied later. A one-line instruction card on the table helps new users. Spare cable lengths are tidied away under the table or behind the screen.
What usually causes it
- Staff avoid meeting rooms because the setup is poor
- The business is moving to hybrid work with more video calls
- Laptop webcams make group calls hard to see and hear
- Small rooms were set up with only a screen
Before we arrive
- The video platform your business uses
- Room dimensions and how many people use it
- A Microsoft 365 or Google admin login if room accounts are needed
- Any building rules on wall fixings
What a visit looks like
When you book huddle room video bar setup, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.
On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.
When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.
