Cafe menu board screens, on site
We reprint our menu boards every time a price or item changes and they still look tired.
We reprint our menu boards every time a price or item changes and they still look tired.
Menu boards need to be readable from the back of the queue and bright enough to compete with daylight from the front windows. We look at the counter, ceiling height and sight lines, recommend commercial screens built for long hours, and plan mounting so the screens line up evenly and cables are hidden in the wall or ceiling. Glare from windows is checked as well.
What the technician does
- Mount commercial screens above the counter
- Set up media players and load the menu content
- Schedule breakfast, lunch and specials by time of day
Screens in portrait or landscape both work - decide based on how long your menu is.
About cafe menu board screens
Each screen gets a media player connected to the network, and the signage software is set up with your menu content. Schedules switch from breakfast to lunch automatically, and specials can be changed from a computer without touching the screens. We show staff how to update prices and items so the menu always matches what the kitchen is serving. Templates match your branding.
What usually causes it
- Printed menus are expensive and slow to change
- Prices change often with supplier costs
- The menu differs between breakfast and lunch
- A refit is a good time to replace chalkboards or printed panels
Before we arrive
- Where each screen will go and who will view it
- Your logo, images or video for the first content
- Network access details for the media players
- The name of whoever will update the content
What a visit looks like
When you book cafe menu board screens, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.
On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.
When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.
Pricing
Each cafe menu board screens job is priced before work starts. The price depends on what's involved - the size of the site, the equipment, and whether parts are needed - so the quickest way to a number is to tell us about the job on the booking form.
There is no contract and no monthly fee. You book the job you need and pay for that job.

Can staff change prices themselves?
Yes. The signage software lets you edit menu templates from a computer or browser, and changes reach the screens without anyone climbing a ladder. No technical skills are needed.
What happens if the internet drops?
Most signage players keep showing the last content they downloaded, so menus stay up during an outage and update again when the connection returns. Nothing goes blank at the counter.
