Multi-site signage management, on site
We have screens in several stores and each one shows something different because they're updated by hand.
We have screens in several stores and each one shows something different because they're updated by hand.
When each store updates its own screens from a USB stick, promotions start and end at different times and some screens fall years behind. We list the screens and players at each site and check which can be managed from the cloud. Where a player cannot, it is replaced with one that can, so all screens can be updated from one place. Each store's network is checked too.
What the technician does
- Audit the screens and players at each location
- Set up cloud-managed players and a central content library
- Group screens by store and schedule shared and local content
Give each screen a clear name in the software, such as the store and position.
About multi-site signage management
In the signage software we create groups by store, region or screen type, set up a shared content library and build schedules for chain-wide promotions alongside space for local notices. Each player is connected to the store network and tested. Head office staff are shown how to publish a campaign and check which screens are showing it. New stores can then be added to the right group as they open.
What usually causes it
- Promotions run inconsistently across stores
- Staff update screens with USB sticks
- A new store is opening with screens to match the others
- Head office wants control over what is shown
Before we arrive
- Where each screen will go and who will view it
- Your logo, images or video for the first content
- Network access details for the media players
- The name of whoever will update the content
What a visit looks like
When you book multi-site signage management, you tell us what's going on and we reply with a time that suits you and a price. Nothing starts until you're happy with both.
On the day, the technician arrives, looks at the problem in person and confirms the plan with you before starting. If something turns out different from what was expected - a part is needed, or the cause is somewhere else - we stop and agree the change with you first.
When the work is done we test it with you, show you what was changed, and leave the area tidy. For business jobs we note what we did, so there is a record for whoever looks after your IT next.
Pricing
Each multi-site signage management job is priced before work starts. The price depends on what's involved - the size of the site, the equipment, and whether parts are needed - so the quickest way to a number is to tell us about the job on the booking form.
There is no contract and no monthly fee. You book the job you need and pay for that job.
Multi-site signage management: questions
Can stores still add their own content?
Yes. Most signage software allows shared content from head office plus a local playlist each store can manage, with permissions set by role. Head office keeps control of shared content.
What does each store need for the screens to update?
An internet connection for the media player, ideally cabled. Players download content and keep showing it if the connection drops. A cabled connection is the steadier choice.
Do you do multi-site signage management on site?
Yes. We come to businesses and homes across Auckland and Hamilton and do the work where the equipment is.
How much does multi-site signage management cost?
It depends on what's involved. Tell us about the job on the form and we'll confirm the price before any work starts.
